This series of air to water cooled motors was designed by MarelliMotori for heavy duty applications where natural ventilation is limited.
The air to water cooling system is a very efficient manner to provide an excellent power output even at lower speed which is very important in constant torque applications.
These motors, originally designed for tight shipboard applications as main propulsion drives and bow thrusters, now find themselves in heavy industry for compressors, pumps, rollers and other rotating equipment.
